In reply to <a href="https://clearpathstrategy.com/3609-2/#comment-112">vivian vinci</a>.

Vivian, there are many detours and challenges that any business must face during its lifetime. It's not limited to the restaurant industry. There is always a Plan B, Plan C. I don't mean to suggest that the income level will be the same, but there are ways of moving forward without shutting down. Whether it's a force of nature or local government or personal setback, the one thing we can count on is that there will not be smooth sailing 100% of the time. We must be prepared for anything. This is why I developed the Build an Unsinkable Business program. It helps entrepreneurs become creative planners and problem solvers. We cannot foresee the future but we can be proactive planners.

Outdoor dining has helped many restaurant owners. I have two friends who have restaurants in New Jersey and they do offer outdoor dining. I don't want to rain on your parade but there seems to be no indication from governor Murphy that indoor dining will resume any time soon. What happens when the weather gets cooler? The NJ Restaurant & Hospitality Association has come up with a plan for safe indoor dining and the governor will not even meet with them. So while outdoor dining has helped, it may not be enough to keep these restaurants afloat.
